Enrichment Center Organization Recognizes Mark Block

Wake Forest University’s Hospitality Services Director, Mark Block, has been awarded a Certificate of Achievement for his exceptional leadership in supporting adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The recognition comes from The Enrichment Center of Winston Salem, a space dedicated to improving the lives of individuals through employment opportunities and meaningful community engagement.

The Enrichment Center, a CQL (Council on Quality and Leadership) accredited organization, focuses on empowering adults by providing individualized care plans and encouraging active participation in goal-setting. The center’s mission is to offer support that aligns with each individual’s unique needs, helping them live fulfilling lives with purpose and choice.

Mark Block’s leadership and commitment to diversity in the workplace were acknowledged as he successfully employed the highest number of program participants in Forsyth County. His efforts not only align with the center’s mission of inclusivity but also highlight Wake Forest’s broader commitment to creating a more inclusive and supportive community for all.

Through his efforts, Block has set a valuable example of how leadership in hospitality services can also play a pivotal role in social responsibility, demonstrating that businesses can thrive while also being a catalyst for positive change in the community.

This achievement reflects not only Block’s dedication to his work at Wake Forest but also his commitment to making a meaningful impact in the community by offering opportunities for people to grow, learn, and contribute.
