π± Deacon Dining Gets Dirty! π§πΌβπΎ
On May 21st, Deacon Dining staff rolled up their sleeves and partnered with Campus Garden to enhance the campus dining experience. Despite the Carolina clay red mud from the previous night’s rain, our dedicated staff spent the day pulling weeds in the garden. Their efforts resulted in the complete weeding of an entire gardening section, which will now be dedicated to growing produce for Deacon Dining.
This collaboration allows our chefs to access fresh crops grown directly on campus, which they can personally pick and incorporate into their dishes. Through partnerships like these, Harvest Table and Deacon Dining aim to redefine what an excellent campus dining experience looks like. Our goal is to create an atmosphere where fresh and sustainable food is the standard, not the exception.
