Deacon Dining Celebrates Black History Month

Deacon Dining is Honoring Black History month by celebrating and Highlighting Black Culinarian Excellence. The team kicked off the celebrations by featuring Chef Randy Dickerson’s (Hilltop Market) Vegan Chili in the Pit on Tuesday (2/2). The recipe was drawn on memories from Randy’s past and experiences he shared with his family. Deacon Dining will continue highlighting and celebrating Black History month by featuring recipes from Sous Chef Louis and Chef Eric (the Pit), Chef Shawveast (Hilltop Dining) and WFU former teacher, poet and civil rights activist, Dr. Maya Angelou. Check out our Pop-Up Calendar to plan your dining experiences accordingly and take a seat at our table as we share in Black Culinarian Excellence.
