New Sweet Treats Coming to Smith’s Cafe

This week at Wake Forest, Smith’s Cafe is unveiling new desserts handmade by Campus Dining’s Pastry team! Known for their mouth-watering desserts at The Pit, the pastry team is bringing the same great flavors to Smith’s Cafe. Their collaborative talent and new ideas are once again impressing us.

The first of the new flavors includes a moist sugar cookie and a delicious ‘brookie,’ where cookie meets brownie. The sugar cookie is currently a fan favorite among both chefs and patrons, with its crunchy outside and perfectly moist center. Who said milk was a cookie’s only friend?

When asked about creating these new treats, the Deacon Dining Team’s Executive Pastry Chef said, “It’s been a joint collaboration. The whole Pastry Team came together to make it tasty, beautiful, and consistent.”

Students can look forward to a two-week rotation of different sweet treats at Smith’s Cafe, which will include new seasonal cupcakes as well!
